Aliya Has Given Birth!

Not all treasure is gold, silver, or bronze. Congratulations to our champion on the birth of a healthy baby girl born on June 13, 2017.  If her leadership of Team Russia is anything to go by, this child, and any children hereafter, are so lucky to have such a loving pampering mother to call its own. It is heartwarming to witness these two young people thrive in their professional and personal lives. I wish unto them wisdom and patience as their first child leads them down the toughest but most rewarding path there is to tread. I guess our Queen did it again, she's gone and added another title to her name: Mama!
She's been very low key throughout the pregnancy hasn't she?
That's the Aliya way: little to no fanfare. Just living her life.

    1. Do you mean you want Aliya to get back to gymnastics? If so, the lady needs a break to be with hubby and baby. She is AMAZING, but if she wants a couple years off or retirement...Mozel Tov....A.Mustafina killing gymnastics for 7 years!

  5. Hi! :)
I already asked you this, but could you write about how you think would the situation be different to now if Alexander Alexandrow would still be the russian head coach? And, most importantly, how this would have affected the gymnastics (difficulty, execution, competition choosing ) of gymnasts who didn't train under Alexandrow like Melnikova, Tutkhalian, Eremina, Akhaimova, Kapitonova, etc.? I noticed, that the ones that trained under Alexandrow still bring the best scores in (Afanasyeva, Paseka, Komova, Mustafina - Mustafina and Komova are beyond talented but the rest is "normal talented" I would say) and I don't think this is an incident. And, would he choose anothe line up, like for example not sending Kapitonova but instead Akhaimova for example (given that they would still perform at the same level under his guidance)?
I would find this very interesting!
