Things To Look Forward To

The post-Olympic desert landscape is finally growing fertile as competitions get under way starting with the Szombathely Challenge Cup (in progress), the Arthur Gander Memorial on Nov.2nd, the Blume Memorial on Nov.5th, and the Swiss Cup on Nov.6th. The rosters are subject to change, but for now it seems Seda and Nagorny will compete at Blume while Melnikova and Ignatyev are scheduled for the Swiss Cup (along with Steingruber and Kaeslin repping the home team). No news yet on whether Russia will send a team to Elite Gym Massilia from Nov 11-13th.

In other good news, German doctors have determined that a stress fracture is the cause of Vika's chronic back pain. They say a 6 month treatment should allow her to return to gymnastics but I'm pessimistic she will return even once she's feeling better. And yet...the news still makes me happy :)
